Terms of service

1. Who we are
This site belongs to Asociación TejiArtes Mueses — tax ID (NIT) 901950682-7, a non-profit association established by Resolution 018 of 12 July 2019, based in the Mueses Indigenous Reservation, Potosí (Nariño), Colombia.
By browsing tejiartes.com you accept these terms. If you disagree with them, please do not use the site.
2. What this site offers
tejiartes.com is an informational site: it introduces the association, its work in guanga weaving, needle and hook knitting and macramé, and a catalogue of pieces.
It is not an online shop. There is no cart, no payment and no sales contract through the website. Every order is arranged directly with the association over WhatsApp, phone or email.
3. Catalogue, prices and availability
- All pieces are handmade: colour, size and texture vary from one to another. Photographs are indicative and may differ from the final result.
- Prices are published in Colombian pesos (COP) as a reference value and do not include shipping. They may change without prior notice depending on the materials and weaving time each piece requires.
- Availability is not guaranteed: many pieces are unique or woven to order.
- Measurements, production times and delivery conditions are confirmed in writing before any order is accepted.
4. Custom orders
For custom work we agree the design, price, production time and delivery method over WhatsApp or email. An order is considered accepted once both parties confirm those conditions. As these are made-to-order goods, an order already in progress may not be refundable; we agree this case by case before starting.
5. Intellectual property and traditional knowledge
The texts, photographs, videos, designs and the TejiArtes Mueses name are owned by the association or its authors, and may not be reproduced, copied or used commercially without written permission.
The designs, symbols and techniques you see in the pieces are part of the collective traditional knowledge of the Pastos people, Mueses reservation. Commercial use or reproduction by third parties without the community’s permission disregards that heritage, as well as these terms.
You are welcome to link to the site and quote short excerpts with attribution.
6. Acceptable use
When using the site you agree not to:
- Use it for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
- Send offensive content, spam or automated submissions through the form.
- Attempt unauthorised access to the systems behind the site.
- Extract content in bulk for commercial reuse.
7. Third-party links and content
The site links to or embeds third-party content (YouTube, Google Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their policies.
8. Availability and liability
The site is provided “as is.” We aim to keep the information current and the site available, but we do not guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent permitted by Colombian law, the association is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to consumers by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent Colombian courts, without prejudice to the authority of the Indigenous Cabildo of the Mueses Reservation where it applies.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date.
