This policy follows Colombian data protection law: Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1074 of 2015 and related regulations.
2. Data we collect
We only process the data you give us voluntarily:
- Contact form: name, email address, reason for writing, and message.
- Technical request data: IP address, browser, and the language of the page you wrote from. These are stored alongside the message to prevent automated submissions and abuse of the form.
- Conversations over WhatsApp, email or social media, when you choose to write to us through those channels.
- Site usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies (see section 2.1). These are aggregate figures: how many people visit the site, which country they come from and which pages they look at. We do not use them to identify you.
The site does no advertising and no profiling, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
2.1 Cookies
The first time you visit, a notice offers you two options. Until you choose, the site stores no cookies at all. If you decline, it never will; if you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets these two:
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visitors apart so the same person is not counted twice | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Keeps the state of the browsing session | 2 years |
Your choice is kept in the browser’s local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie. You can
change it whenever you like from the Cookies link in the footer, or by clearing the site’s
data in your browser.
3. Purposes
We use your data only to:
- Answer your questions, custom orders, workshop requests or partnership proposals.
- Arrange the making and delivery of any piece you order.
- Protect the form against automated submissions.
- Understand which content interests our visitors, so we can improve the site (only if you accepted analytics cookies).
- Comply with legal and accounting obligations.
We send no marketing emails or newsletters, and we never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
4. Consent
By submitting the form or writing to us on WhatsApp or by email, you authorise the processing of your data for the purposes described. You may withdraw that authorisation at any time by writing to us, unless a legal or contractual duty requires us to keep the data.
Analytics is separate and has its own consent: you give it in the cookie notice and withdraw it from the Cookies link in the footer. Declining does not limit your use of the site in any way.
5. Processors and recipients
Your data is stored on our hosting provider’s infrastructure and transmitted through the mail service attached to our domain. These providers act as processors and handle the data only to provide us with the service.
The home page includes two third-party contents:
- A YouTube video in no-cookie mode (
youtube-nocookie.com). The player only loads when you press play; the thumbnail is downloaded from YouTube’s servers when the page opens. - An embedded, lazy-loaded Google Maps map.
When either loads, Google may record technical data such as your IP address under its own privacy policy. From these two contents we receive no information at all.
If you accept analytics cookies, a third service is added:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), which gives us aggregate reports on how the site is used. We do receive information from it, but always as statistics: we never see who you are and cannot link a visit to a specific person. Google acts as a processor and may handle the data on servers outside Colombia, including in the United States; the transfer relies on your authorisation and on Google’s contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We keep form messages for as long as they are useful to handle the relationship with the person who wrote, and for two (2) years from the last contact at most. After that they are deleted, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep them longer.
Analytics data is kept for fourteen (14) months in Google Analytics; after that Google deletes it automatically and only the aggregate reports remain.
7. Your rights
As the data subject you may access, update, correct and delete your information, request proof of your authorisation, be informed of how we use your data, and revoke your authorisation. To exercise these rights, write to info@tejiartes.com or muesestejiartes@gmail.com stating your name and your specific request. Under Law 1581 of 2012 we answer enquiries within ten (10) business days and complaints within fifteen (15) business days.
If you believe your request was not properly handled, you may file a complaint with the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
8. Security
We apply reasonable safeguards: encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to the mailbox that receives the messages, and rate limits on the form. No system is infallible, but we work to keep the risk minimal.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date. We will announce significant changes on the site.
